When the Titanic Museum opened in 2010. I was so excited to visit. I was a huge fan of the movie Titanic when I was little. ( I went 12x to watch it in the theater) After I learned they started offering weddings and vow renewal ceremonies on the grand staircase, I couldn’t wait till that day came when I would get to do a wedding there.
When Teresa called me and told me she was going to be renewing her vows on the Titanic, I was super excited! She had so many fun ideas in store for her big day.
You might remember Troy and Terea from their fun vintage 1912 family shoot we did. We had a blast that day and I got to know them a little more.
As their day came closer we started working on more details about the wedding. She had this beautiful custom made dress designed for her by Cody Ratliff. He has done many of the costumes from Country Tonight in Pigeon Forge.
We woke up super early for this wedding. When you get married on the Titanic you have to do it before the museum opens at 9am. so here we are getting some shots of the girls getting ready at 6:30 am at The Christmas Place Inn.
Teresa looked BEAUTIFUL in her gown. She is stunning in it. Her daughter Kristen helped her get ready and do her makeup.
Teresa’s dress was inspired by Lady Duff Gordon, who was a surviving passenger aboard the Titanic. Cody added pieces from her old wedding dress into the new one. Here he is giving her a clutch that he made with the scraps from her old wedding dress
The ceremony on the grand stair case was so beautiful. All the guest are at the top looking over and there was seating for other guest on the main level.
Everyone was encouraged to dress in the 1912 attire. I think everyone had lots of fun with it. Here is a picture of all the guest that attended the ceremony.
Another cool and fun idea was I set up a photo booth for the guest. Troy and Teresa took a photo with each guest and each table! I got some great shots! The props are awesome! I hope to do this again!
I had such a great time capturing your day! I know you guys had a great celebration! I wish you two many more happy years together!
