Mark and Mary have only been together for 6 months, but she knew that she was going to marry him the first day she met him – she even asked him right after meeting him.
During nursing school while working at Burger King, Mary was standing outside with her boss and saw a guy go through the drive thru with a big beautiful truck. She loved his truck and had to meet him. She even jokingly said, “Will you marry me? I love your truck.”
They both came to the Smoky Mountains for a weekend getaway. Mark planned on asking for her hand in marriage while they were here and I suggested for them check out Emerts Cove. When I arrived, they were next to the river. His plan was to see me with my camera and ask if I could take a picture of the two of them. After, he would propose as I held the camera. The proposal was so sweet and Mary was completely shocked.
After the proposal, I gave them a few minutes to talk and soak in what just happened. Then we walked around and took some engagement pictures. Mark even brought along a dress for Mary to change into who was all smiles after the engagement.
