Chase has been so nervous and excited to pop the question to his girlfriend. He called me last week and we tossed around so many ideas for him to propose.
We planned on going to Anakeesta for him to propose, but the weekend of his trip, rain was in the forecast for the whole weekend and when that is the case, the mountains are invisible. I had a busy weekend ahead and wasn’t able to move much around so we decided to move his proposal to Thursday, (the day of his arrival)
They literally just drove in and we thought he would make it here before sunset and we could go to the Space Needle with a sunset view, that plan didn’t work, so our last minute choice was the Smoky Mountain Hollar area. They had some beautiful fall decor and it was pretty well lit and right down from their hotel.
After they checked in and changed clothes, they were going to walk the strip and grab dinner. Lexie was getting hungry and Chase grabbed her and stood right in front of me to “look at the fall decor and take a photo” He then handed her a note that said
“Do you like me, do you wanna be my friend? If you do then don’t be afraid to take my hand. If you want to… Then a checkbox of “YES or NO”. He asked her to be his girlfriend with a note and thought it would be sweet to ask her with a note to be his wife!! HOW SWEET!!
She cried tears of joy!!!
I am so glad she was surprised. They have a wonderful story to tell for years to come.
After we got done with all their photos. The fire alarm went off and the whole block had to be evacuated. THANKFULLY, we got done before that happened. We laughed and knew this was going to be a GREAT story they could tell.
