Dan had a sweet idea to propose to his girlfriend during sunrise. He wanted to go down New Found Gap Road and propose there. The morning of the proposal, the road is closed due to ice. We then go to plan B. I mentioned that Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook is beautiful on the Gatlinburg By-Pass. The sun is supposed to rise at 7:15am. We get there around 7am and begin to wait. It then turns into 7:30 and we are wondering what is taking so long to see the sun. Dan waits until 7:40 and then asked me to take a photo of the two of them. He then turns her to the mountains and got down on one knee. It was so sweet!
We were all so cold, but took a few photos of the two of them around the area. Finally, at 7:50 the sun peeks through the mountains. So lesson learned that the sun rises later than what it might say and it sets earlier too. It made for some beautiful photos. I am so happy I got to be apart of this memory.
Thank you guys so much for having me come out and capture this beautiful proposal.
